Gently scrape off all the wax you can & then put down paper towels & go over with a warm iron. The heat will melt the wax & the paper towels will soak it up. This should get off most of it.

once the wax has hardened use a plastic putty knife and scrape it off not a lot of pressure so you don't gouge the wood's finish, if it's an older floor with not much of a finish left do the same thing but then gently sand it a little with steel wool nothing to course you just want to get a little wax off the grain if it has soaked in.

Newspaper. Newspaper over the wax and then the flat iron. Not Too hot. Just medium to high. Repeat over and over until the wax is gone. Finish off with wood floor cleaner.

Scrape as much off as you can with a plastic scraper, even a credit car, Use mineral spirits or lighter fluid on a rag or paper towel to wipe the residue. Keep using a clean rag until everything is gone. The solvent will soften the parrafin and shouldn't harm the finish.
