I have spent this entire week waiting for the furnace man to fix our furnace. Monday, just a complete no show. Tuesday, came but had to order a part. Wednesday, promised to come at 11:AM and no show, no call. Thursday, another complete no show, no call, can't get a hold of him. Today, the same. Yes, they are a proper company. Professional website, etc. I'm so angry. Is this usual?

I dried corn husks to use as accents for some ceramic corn cobs that I painted. They are hanging on my front door.
Now I am noticing they are looking limp and moldy.
I'm sure they are unsalvagable now but how can I keep next falls husks from turning yucky on me?

Everytime I do laundry, the fuse blows! I used to be able to run the washing machine and the dryer at the same time. But when I do that now, the fuse always blows. I'm not sure what's going on. If I just run one at a time, it works just fine. Could it be a bad fuse, or some electrical problem?

Does anyone know an estimate of having a house built that is 2800 ft sqared? We would like to have 4 bedrooms on main floor, a small office, a dining room, living room, and kitchen (all 3 open), a bathroom and a half bath in master bedroom. A full finished basement with a small kitchen, furnace room, laundry room, storage room, bathroom, and small bedroom. All the rest is open. Any estimates would be great. Want to get some opinions before we go to a contractor.

I'm installing laminate and have noticed that the doors (4 doors) have a metal frame. I've read everywhere that I should cut the bottom of the door frame (to lay the laminate underneath) with a undercut saw but how do I cut the bottom of the metal door frame?

I've thought about using a metal cutting blade attached to a drill but I'm afraid of causing a fire!

NOTE: two of the doors have several angles in the metal frame that stick out about 1-1.5 inch.
I was told that a fein multimaster may do this cut.

Thank you so much for your help.

Planted it back in March and it grew about 2 feet taller over the summer and produced a lot more leaves. It's now dropped down into the 60's and 70's in the daytime and 40's and 50's at night and I have noticed more leaves turning yellow and eventually dropping. I added a few jobes houseplant sticks around it a week or so ago (the little tiny ones) for some fetilizer, but other than that, it doesn't seem cold enough yet that t should be dropping leaves, or turning yellow, considering it's an evergreen. Any suggestions on what to do here or is this fairly normal??

Does anyone have any suggestions???
I was thinking about using plywood as a backing and adding tongue-and-groove boards over it for a nicer finish.
