I dried corn husks to use as accents for some ceramic corn cobs that I painted. They are hanging on my front door.
Now I am noticing they are looking limp and moldy.
I'm sure they are unsalvagable now but how can I keep next falls husks from turning yucky on me?

You need to wash the fresh husks with bleach. What you see growing are the mold spores from the field. I make a lot of tamales, and the corn husks in the store keep for months.

it incredibly relies upon on how nicely you place it away. in case you save it in a zipper lock bag of a few form it relatively is going to final for a week and a a million/2. in case you place it in uncooked then no longer even a a week. the less air it is uncovered to a uncooked product the longer it relatively is going to final.

Find a spray preservative at your local crafts store. I've used hair spray but only indoors. Good Luck and God Bless.
