I live at a summer cmap and the mice are poop everywhere and trying to burrow through the carpet into my room. I can't handle killing them, and I can't get a cat, is there anyway that I could keep them at bay for a month or so?

My daughter has a pink Nike jacket, it is all polyester, except for the lining and the threaded Nike emblem on the back. it sat in the damp basement all year, now it has mildew stains that I can't get out. Will the bleach ruin the nike emblem or the lining which is probably cotton, all of it is pink.

I've moved from NJ to PA so I'm in the same zone but I've got to start my garden all over again. I am looking for plants/flowers (preferably bulbs) that will keep my garden lively from Spring thru Fall.
I've already purchased, Tulips, Iris', Crocus', and Hyacinths - which all tend to be Spring items.
I need some recommendations for Summer and Fall blooms. This will be going into a very slightly raised flower bed.

I love being outside and working in the yard. I just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant so this is a big concern for me. I know, put the baby first and all, but I love working with my hands out in the yard. Is there some kind of medium to this delima?

For about a month, for some reason, it sounds as if we have air in pipes when a toilet flushes. Now, it takes forever for a toilet to fill back up. We built the house in 1982. Besides calling an expensive plumber, is there anything I can try myself? Thanks for any suggestions.

I bought two venus fly traps about a month and a half ago. They were doing great, growing new foliage and they both even started to flower! I trimmed off the flower stalks because it takes too much energy from the plant to flower and could have killed both. But for some reason, both of the plants have started to grow leaves that grow straight and normal, then they will turn and point down, then grow back up to make a loop in the stem. Some just keep growing and are fine with the loop, and others will turn black and the leaf will die at that point where the loop is. I give the plants distilled water or water that has sat out for a day or so. I don't really feed them or touch the traps. They live in a fish bowl terrarium with plastic over the top to keep the humidity in. They have perlite and peat moss soil. Not sure what the problem is.. has any one had this happen before??

i have been told that we need a 5inch by 5 inch hole in our wall venting air outside for our boilier. is it allowed to to change this to a 9 by 3 inch hole as that is the size of our bricks and would be easier to knock that out. 5 x 5 gives a smaller area than 9 x 3 so i cant see it being a problem

They are dark, roundish, and have tiny silvery wings. They are smaller than a pin head but their bite is painful! I can kill them by squishing then easily with the tip of my forefinger. When I sat outside on my deck today a dozen or so bit me and I had to go inside. What are they? Can I spray my screens with something? I live in northern Illinois.

I have several container pots in which I grow tomato plants on the deck. Unfortunately, this year they all got horrible diseases by the end of the season (black spot?and blossom rot).
Does the dirt transfer disease season to season? Can I reuse it next season or should I toss it out?

Or do I need to keep it in a pot? I want to to grow as big as possible, and it is but I feel it is restricted in a pot. I live in Texas so it very rarely freezes here. I am wondering if I could transfer it to the ground so it can grow very big.
