There are deer repelents that use natural things like fox urine and wolf urine. They smell these and instinctively think, "Preditor!"
The one listed below says it lasts 3-4 months. Actually, we have found it to last 2-3 monthes very effectively.

Best way would be to put up a fence. Deer can jump so you might want something 6'+ high. Fortunately, the choices of fence are open enough that this doesn't have to be a huge project. A few rows of barbed wire would probably suffice.

Get a fence, so that the deer cannot jump over into your garden. Simple as that.

Apart from fence it in I have no idea, but I would love to have deer in my garden, you obviously live in the country so just accept that you share this planet with other animals and enjoy them.

I have pretty good luck with a scare crow. Just nail 2 sticks together in the shape of a cross 'dress' it up in a shirt. I think the button shirts work best because they are easy to put on the stick man and they also flutter in the breeze-like its moving.

Fences work ok, but if you're out in the boonies with no neighbors watching, taking a wizz aound the perimeter works quite well...it a territorial thing.

Groingo is correct. I save urine in a "aroma seal" (can't mention brand name) coffee can to pour around the perimeter. You can also put out "hair socks" Old socks filled with your hair, your pet's hair, lint from your dryer, slivers of scented soap....be creative around the garden. Kept them out of my vegies.
