I opened up the fridge a couple days ago to discover a bad odor. It was the milk! I dont know what to do with it. DO i pour it down the drain? Do I throw it away container and all? Both seem illogical. What do I do? I dont want to live with this smell any longer.

I hope someone can tell me why people continue to buy expensive products that contain ingredients that pollute their own air? Room sprays contain known carcinogens but they are flying off the shelves. Most cleaning products contain triclosan which, when mixed with chloronated water, gives off a toxin and known carcinogenic gas (chloroform) but people keep buying the stuff. Why is that? Natural products are cheaper, don't bother allergies, don't contribute to cancer risks and work just as well.

Can anyone tell me why people continue to pay for products that increase their risk of cancer and other bodily harms?

My husband and I are considering buying an old 3200sq ft. brick craftsman home built in 1925. We called the electric company and the gas and electric bills are, of course, very high. The attic is already insulated. The windows are original and we would not consider replacing them as it would take away from the character of the home. What else could we do to help with the heating/air conditioning? Plastic the windows in the winter? Thanks!

My two orchids have new growth. Is it time to repot? If so, do I use the same size pot or go a size bigger? I am very excited about this as I have tried unsuccessfully for years to care for orchids. Hoping to get some expert advice!

Will Arm & Hammer Baking soda work?

I was hauling some old solvents (automotive products, cat flea spray, etc.) in a box to the dump. Something must have leaked but I don't know what. It may have been the Garden and Bug spray because that is what is smells like. What can I do to get it out of my seat that does not require getting it professionally removed? I don't think it is too saturated, at least it did not feel that way upon touching.

This morning my wife got up to take a shower, and the water pressure was very low. I got in the shower after her, and the water pressure started out low, but gradually returned to seemingly normal by the time I was done my shower.

We are on a public water supply, and my plumbing is about 16 years old. I don't remember this happening before. I checked for leaks, but did not find any.

Is this something I should worry about? What could have caused this? Or am I worrying too much? Thanks!

I turned on my dishwasher the other day and the motor seemed to be really loud in comparison to usual. It seems to have washed the dishes o.k. but it was making so much noise that I turned it off half way through. Do you think that it's safe to use or should I get someone in to have a look at it? My partner told me not to use it as he's afraid it will blow or something.
