Will Arm & Hammer Baking soda work?

I was hauling some old solvents (automotive products, cat flea spray, etc.) in a box to the dump. Something must have leaked but I don't know what. It may have been the Garden and Bug spray because that is what is smells like. What can I do to get it out of my seat that does not require getting it professionally removed? I don't think it is too saturated, at least it did not feel that way upon touching.

First, try to absorb as much as you can. Put a towel over the spot, and then put something on it for pressure. Check it in 5 minutes, if stain on it, repeat the process. If no stain, leave over night (repeat as necessary). I think it would have gone through the fabric into the cushion. once you have as much out that way, you can rent one of those carpet cleaning machines, and use the hand held attachment and give it a good hot water cleaning that way. leave windows open to vent out and dry. Should the product be oil based, then it may dissolve the padding, which case it needs replaced, or maybe some plastic can be put down, and then a seat cover on.

you can use a steam cleaner to clean the fabric of any stain if you need to, but aeration is a whole lot cheaper. (open the doors and let a fan blow through, but a stain may remain, depending on the type of solvent and the type of fabric).
