Hi,
The previous owners had a thin metal L-shaped key to open the bedroom doors. I just can't get it to work. Help, please! They're kwikset locks that you pinch and turn a quarter turn on the one side, and have a small hole on the other side.
FYI- there is no "flat part" to the key. I just can't seem to find the right place to put that long end of the key. Help! I've played around for a full hour now and have no luck finding the exact notch thing (and by the way, how does a round end of a piece of metal (that is like a coat hanger) fit into a "notch", which I assume is rectangular?

Thanks so much for anything!!

I've complained to my landlord who has sent out a plumber a couple of times. Each time they claim they fixed it--but I get home and it's still the same!

It clogs at least once a day. It feels like I spend more time in the bathroom plunging the toilet, than enjoying the rest of my apartment! I usually just plunge the heck out of it, but tonight it's not working. Is there anything else I can try?

Does anyone know if Febreeze Antimicrobial is actually disinfecting? It says it kills "99.9% of odor-causing bacteria"...but what about 99.9% of bacteria in general?

We are looking at purchasing a home with two fireplaces, it's really outdated but I would love to keep the original work as much as possible...in the living room it's about 10foot long of just brick with a 2 foot actual fire place it's about 1.5ft tall and basically just something like a bench seat. The wall around it is covered in the same brick used for the fireplace but the rest of the wall in the room is a building brick. The bricks are huge and I need some help on what to do, I just want to paint them for now and hang drywall later but not too sure how to go about it. HELP!

I've been wanting to buy regular old ammonia, not mixed with any colors or chemicals, just dilute household ammonia, because it's supposed to be great for cleaning stuff around the house. Anyone know what stores I can buy this, what aisle it's in, and estimated cost? I've checked Walmart, but didn't find it.

...that has a square hole in the middle to fit over the driver head. What is this for? to keep dirt/grease out of the driver mechanism or something?

Also for all you serious mechanics out there :)- what problems am I going to encounter for buying the ultra-cheap set instead of paying 10x more for a nice set?

I am wondering how you make bonsai plants grow small... Something to do with cutting roots and training branches?

I have an interest in them and I am well aware it takes years and years but thats ok...

So for now Im just trying to figure a few things out...

Silk floss tree, monkey pod tree and pencil palm are a few I thought to look nice so far but I need to know how the plants grow small... I dont think they do it by themselves, so how can I find out step by step how to make a little plant small and turn it into a bonsai?

I am Tri-lingual. I hope I spelled propragonate right? I am just spelling it the way it sounds in my ears. Nevertheless, I picked up the button's with the leaves from Black Eyed Susan tonight. How can I make them grow in my own garden? Do they multiply by them selves? Could I still plant them even so it's mid August?

For all the gardeners out there. Hi How are you. We planted pumpkin seed on June 5th of this year, we have vines up the waaazooo right now, Lots of buds and flowers but no pumpkins. Why arn't our flowers growing into pumpkins? I have also self-pollenated them. We also planted watermelon seeds around the end of June and still no watermelons either. We finally got a bud on it so, I'll wait and see about that one.Our neighbor planted watermelons, pumpkins, corn, etc. and they have fruit and veggies growing by the tons. Why won't ours grow?

We have a table top machine and its motor is rated 110V, 60Hz and 750W. Someone said it is possible to use a dimmer switch to achieve different motor speed. Is it ok to connect the machine to a dimmer switch?
Thanks. Ken
