Also, I live in Hawaii. Can I plant these year round?

It is best to dry them, you will get better germination. Yes you can grow them all year in Hawaii. My parents did. You may ( probably ) will be disappointed though if you got your melon from a commercial grower. Most are hybrids and will not be the same as the melon the seeds came from.

let them dry for a day or so, then put them between two sheets of paper towel and keep them wet.
Once they sprout plant them in the ground and take good care of them.
You will at least get beautiful flowers even if the fruit doesn't grow to edibleness.
