I am trying desperately to come up with a way to decorate my gymnasium for my wedding reception. The new idea is to buy isle runners (since they come in such long lengths) and drape them from the ceiling. Does anyone have any advice they can give on how I can drape mine at my reception? Thanks!

PS. I would hire someone to do this but I'm on a very tight budget. I was quoted a price of $3,000 and that's WAY out of my budget!

They are over running my yard and now I've found one inside the house!! We're not dirty people so it's freaking me out that they're under my couch!! They are awful, and I'm scared to step on one! So does anybody know what will repel them from coming in my house?

We built a house and moved in June we keep the air on 75 because it is so hot outside. I also keep all the ceiling fans on in every room because I can't stand for it to feel stuffy. Will it burn the motor up and do you think it raises our electric bill?

I have hard plastic tumblers that I use for iced tea. It leaves a residue in the corners of the glasses. I have tried soaking them in hot water, and scrubbing with a brush. Any suggestions?

My 7hp briggs engine has a carb problem i think. when i start the engine it runs fine for about ten seconds and then stalls out. I think it is a gas problem because when i spray starter fluid into the carb when it starts to die it runs for a few seconds longer. I have already cleaned the gas line and taken the carb completely apart and checked for a plug of some kind. i have also checked the float and everything in the carb seems to be in working order. I don't know what to check at this point. any help fixing the problem would be much appreciated.

The outlets go through a transformer to run on 120, but the lights/switches are still 24 volt. Do I need to rewire?

My place is full of freaking flies and I just want them to die!!! I have a fly swatter but it just isn't enough! I was thinking of either buying 20 venus fly traps and putting them on steroids, a.k.a, Miracle Gro; getting a vat of Raid and dousing my furniture, carpet, and walls in it; or just plain setting my place on fire. Can you think of a good way to get rid of flies????

I'm thinking because of the condition they probably can't be fixed, but if they could and they ran into minimal trouble....how much would that be instead?

The plumber is coming over in the morning to give an estimate and if it's ok we can have the work done right away.....just want a ballpark figure.

thanks

There is hair dye that is soaked into the nails, its been there for some time. Is there any thing that will take it out so they look presentable for work? Do stores sell things like this? What are some brands of nail whitening products? Lemons and denture soak, I head but do these work fast enough?

My family and I recently purchased a new house- the previous owner had a cat that liked to use the linoleum by the front door as a toliet. It reeks of urine- that was the only problem with the house, and it was otherwise fine. We think its soaked in, because no matter how hard we scrub it still kind of smells. Help?

I don't think it is "sweat" as I don't see any moisture on the bowl itself, just at the very base, where the toilet meets the floor. Is it possible the seal is leaking? Would moisture appear here if this was the case? If so, is this a big project to fix the seal myself, or should I have a plumber do it? Thanks
