I live in zone 6. The plot in the back has great sunshine all morning (about 5 hours) and then has some shade produced by very tall pine tree trunks that have very few needles and branches. I would love to have a rose garden with a few climbers for the fence. Any suggestions?

Saturday morning when I left my house there was nothing wrong with my toilet. When I returned that afternoon, it is not flushing properly. I have looked at several qustions dealing with toilet problems and couldn't find one similar to mine. I think it is clogged, but my wonderful husband begs to differ. When you flush it, it starts to bubble(you know like it's stopped up), then it starts acting like it's gonna over flow, then it seems like it takes it for ever to some what flush, then all of the water or what ever is in there does not go all the way down. I told my husband it was either stopped up or the toilet needed replacing. He again argued with me. So does anyone know what might be the problem. And by the way, we are on city sewage.

I would like to start composting my trash but my homeowners association does not allow compost heaps. Is there a way I can compost secretly, no smell, no bugs, no obvious "eyesore" whatever that means. I've seen some composting products on the web, they do cost a lot, but do they really work and is there a smell or bugs that might be attracted to them? Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks!

Hello~
My husband and I are planning a Koi Pond for our landscape in the backyard. He loves the clack-ing sound of the fountain in Kill Bill Vol 1, well I did some research and found out it is a Deer Chaser or Shishi Odoshi. However I cannot seem to find the model that was used in the film. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

The formica is @4 years old. No heat or chemicals have been applied or claimed to have been used. When wet they disappear, but immediately reappear after drying. Not hard water, as we dry after wiping down and the spots reoccur in the same area everytime.

Every desk I've seen is far too small for my needs. It has to have enough space for a 17'' CRT monitor, a subwoofer, scanner, printer, an UPS, and of course all the other elements of my computer (Miditower case, keyboard, mouse, speakers...). I want it to be very big, because I always need a lot of space for notes and some other stuff. Can anyone tell me where to find some pictures of that kind of desk? I just need an idea, so I can start making it.

I just signed a lease for an apartment and I love it. My only major problem is this HIDEOUS seafoam green/50's diner mint green wall. It looks a lot like this color: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_green. 3 walls have wood paneling (medium/light brown). They currently have a darker green area rug in the room, which I can store if I don't like. There is also a smaller room painted in this color.
I begged to paint the walls white and they said no. Unfortunately, I have to leave the walls this color...what in the WORLD can I do to make this room look cool, fun, but not tacky? I can't go too modern, since the kitchen right off the room is decorated in a country style (wooden cabinets, wallpaper with sunflowers and crows, etc).

Any ideas for something fun, comfortable, and not too horribly kitschy? Thanks!
