My aunt wants me to find some stove tops online, but is that their technical name? Do stove tops go by anything else?

Is the item your aunt is refering to built into a countertop? If so this is called a cooktop.
If it is a part of an oven, then yes it would be considered a stovetop, however, I would recommend purchasing a new stove.
