normally you are suppose to try and get rid of the problem yourself but if you can not unclog it then Yes!! They are responsible to make sure the problem is corrected and fixed. I had to call our lanlord at one time to unclog a toilet that we could not get unclogged. Turned out the pipe was jammed inside the wals further in than normal and thye had to do some major repairs to the complex units. Hope this helps.......

That is the usual.

They will have a maintenance guy who goes around to deal with problems like that. If it is an emergency they may let you call in an outside plumber (usually about $80) and take that amount off your rent payment.

ASK?Your management office to check the sewage drain leading from your apartment running to the
sewage reservoir. That is out of your range and mantinance's responsibility. The only way you should have to pay is that you live in a condo. If that is the case then I must side with your landlord.

Depends. The landlord will send a maint. tech out if your tried all other measures to clear the drain. If maintenance discovers an "object", that should have not been flushed, such as toys, feminine products, etc., then they can charge you for the service call.

Usually stoppage problems in your unit only are your responsibility because it is viewed as you being the cause of the stoppage. The first thing to do is read your lease and see what it says.

Call them up and ask. If not go and buy something to unclog your drain..it's pretty cheap and it works rather well.

I don't think so, if you're the one who clogged it up.
