Your new house is probably built using the new electrical codes that require an outlet every so many feet. Part of this code was to reduce usage of extension cords which were dangerous. Not using an outlet will not cause a fire.

Overloading circuits causes fires. Not using an outlet will not put you at risk for a fire.

well i would say if you DO use a lot of outlets, more precisely, if you overload an outlet with too many adapters then yes that is a fire hazard. be careful

no it will not.you can have as many as you want as long as there are no bad ones your fine. you can buy plug protectors for the ones you do not use . so nothing can get put in them to short them out or anything.

no but if you are ueasy about it you can get the one plug that they use to child proof
