is it ok to screw stud frames instead of nailing it? i'm adding blocking and a short stud but have no room to use hammer.

I framed a whole basement using number 7 and 8 sheetrock and decking screws of assorted lengths. Screws are arguably better than nails, they are easier to put in and hold more tightly.

yes. Nails are cheaper & very effective. A few wood screws are OK. Depending on size of screw, may need a pilot hole drilled first so you don't split the wood.

Yes, in fact it is better. If you make a mistake, then all you have to do is back out the screw. We learned this the hard way....LOL!

Yes, but if it is going to have any type load on it, make sure you have the proper size screws. Good luck with your project.

definetly yes, It is actually better than nail.Much more holding power. The coarse threadings deck screws work well
