My GE side-by-side refrigerator is getting stuff cold enough, but the freezer side is not getting cold enough so it will make ice and keep things frozen. I have checked everything possible and I don't have any money for anyone to see what's wrong with it. It stopped making ice for four days and is not working now. The refrigerator is cold enough to keep anything refrigerated.

Hello...

My air conditioner requires that I use electrostatic filters. However, they look awfully similar to Swiffer type cloths, and aren't swiffer cloths electrostatic?

I think the AC filters are metallic, whereas the Swiffer is not, but I still think that they may do the same thing... more or less.

I want to cut down on the dust, pollen, etc. in my apartment, but I don't want to harm (choke) the AC unit. I also don't want to buy any products that aren't necessary...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I was wonder where I might be able to buy an above ground pool. I live in North Carolina.

We have already been to Rec Warehouse and we could not get a pool from there. We have looked at Sun Rising Pools online site but we haven't went to the store yet.

I was wonder are their prices pretty resonable?

Or is there some local places that I can buy from? Or should I look on ebay or something for used pools?

Since we live on a acre of land, size wouldn't be a problem.

Because my family has a budget and we don't want to go to far over. The prices of the pools have been okay but the cost to get the land leveled is a problem.

So any ideas what I can do about leveling and pool prices?!

Please help!

I really miss the willow trees I used to see in the mountains of NC. I'm stuck in Florida for the next 5 or so years and would like to plant a weeping willow in my front yard. It will be 20 ft from the house and driveway. My question is, how do willows do in Florida? I'm in zone 9.

Not ceramic tile, not vinyl tile. The snap and click tiles. They are like the laminate wood you could get except look like tiles. Why wouldn't I want to do this. My biggest concern is water splashing from the tub and getting underneath these tiles causing them to buckle. Is this a valid concern?

I bought this from an online retailer earlier this year and now I am stuck with it-Yes I learned my lesson about buying in bulk. Make sure it works well for me first!! It doesn't work well in our in-ground pool- It doesn't dissolve well, and it turns the water cloudy, and more than once now, the pool has had algae start to grow on the walls! I read earlier that HTH, and some of the cheaper brands are formulated with a strong calcium base that causes this. Have any of you had issues with this product?

After the initial HTH trouble, I started using Poolife Rapid shock from my local store again with no prob, then I ran out and had to use the HTH crap...serves me right.

I've never had to think about water consuption previously, as I guess like a lot of people I took it for granted. Now I have just had a water meter installed, I'm keen to know what measures others take to keep the bills lower.

We have a on bedroom apartment and are trying to keep the electric bill down as well as electric usage for environmental reasons. We have central A.C. Is it cheaper to set the A.C. to a bearable temperature, such as 79 deg F, or keep a standard box fan on all the time?

I have a small planter box that runs the length of my back yard. It is only about a foot to a foot and a half wide. I am trying to figure out what would be best to plant in there. I'd like to get some kind of a flowering bush or small tree to line the planter. It doesnt get alot of sun, mostly late afternoon and early evening sun. I just want to put some color in there but need something with a little bit of hieght to it...

It was built in '78 in New England. I'm tackling this project myself 'cause I haven't got the $$ to pay somebody to do it for me.

I already pulled the toilet up and most of the vinyl. It's probably about 1 1/2 cu.ft. of the floor that's water damaged. There are drip marks in the kitchen below it, but you can't see through.

I read in another forum that the floor is probably 3/8" thick, but that doesn't sound right to me. The suggestion was to use a circular saw and take off a bit at a time; all the rotten stuff to the nearest joist. I understand the bit about checking the floor joists for damage and sistering joists as necessary. I'm more concerned with ripping the wet stuff up. Any suggestions? All I own is a jig saw so I'll probably rent - or buy - a circular saw. I'm more concerned with the thickness of the sub-floor 'cause I don't want to cut too deep.

Also, how far apart are the joists supposed to be?

I have some very pretty Impatiens in big pots on my front steps. They look gorgeous until about the end of July when they become leggy -- it happens every year. They still bloom, but the leaves yellow a little bit and they don't look nearly as full.

I'm having a LOT of company in the middle of August and I'd love for them to look their best. Is there anything I can do?

I plan to move out of my parents' house in a couple years. But I'll most likily be working two jobs. I'm a very tidy, minimalistic, organized person so my apartment will reflect that. But that's not memorable. The Playboy Manison-that's memorable. How can you have a memorable apartment if you can't afford peacock infestation?

I live in the UK. I have an average sized bathroom, and plan to replace the bath, toilet and basin with new ones in the same position. The room does not have a shower so I plan to have one fitted. I also have a tiny en-suite with a toilet, basin and shower that need fully replacing.

I have bought both suites, the towel rails. (Member of family works in bathrooms retail) I just need someone to fit them and fully tile both rooms.

How much do you reckon this could cost? Quotes coming back on Monday and want to feel that I haven;'t been ripped off.
