Idea: I didn't start my seeds this year. So if I started them now 7-28-07 in Ohio, and raised them in my house would they grow?

I have Lilies that aren't very healthy looking. I need to know how often to water them, and what the signs of over-watering is, so I know if I am watering too much.

I live in an apartment and my good friend lives in the house below. She hasn't been well and she has three children and I have a teenage son. Her sewage backed up to her bathtub. Her Dad is trying to get it fixed. Well, it isn't fixed yet. I was cleaning the bathroom after they turned the water back on and I noticed a smell coming from the toilet that smells like the smell in a porta pot. I need to know, is it dangerous if we all breathe in these toxins? I can't smell it in the bedroom. But, they are smelling it downstairs. I think she thinks I am offended by the smell but that's not it at all. I know that breathing in toxic fumes can sometimes skew our thinking and become toxic as well. Just making sure. Thanks so much!

I am moving into a bedroom with light sage walls.

What color comforter would you recommend? I was thinking chocolate brown. The rest of the house is very casual and comfortable. Not fancy or modern.

I'm fairly certain that the hot water that comes out of the tap/shower/other plumbing is heated through gas, but what causes the water to come out cold? How is the water cooled before it comes out of the tap?

I'm buying a house that has a home made pool dug in the ground. It is lined with cinderblock brick and painted blue. Would it be more affordable to fill in the hole (approximately 1200 cubic feet) or pay a contractor to fix it and permit it? I know alot about many trades, unfortunately im dumbed with this one. Is it a DIY possibility to fix it?

The people who put the electrical system in my house put all the electrical cords over the joists and rafters, instead of using a hole saw to put the cords through the boards. Now that we own the house, we want to put a floor in the attic. So the electrical cords must be placed lower than the surface of the boards so we don't nail through them, and keep the boards flat. My thought is to cut a notch in the boards, just deep enough to lower the electrical cords below the surface. My concern is whether I will weaken the roof support, or cause any other damage to the house by doing this.

I want to install a new lighting fixture outside. It says that the supply wire must be "minimum 75C". I'm thinking it means 75 degrees Celsius/Centigrade. It's an older house (1950s) and I want to know if the wires it currently has are able to withstand the heat it may generate.
