Idea: I didn't start my seeds this year. So if I started them now 7-28-07 in Ohio, and raised them in my house would they grow?

I mean like carrots, tomatoes and greenbeans inside the house.

You can try. The vegies you listed want full sun. Hard to simulate indoors. You'll need a south location or grow lights and 3-5 gallon pots.

Yes, they would grow but, how do you plan on growing them without some form of growing medium for them. Seed starter pots are not going to last too long before they would need to be transplanted into something larger. And they will need ample light, meaning all the colors of the light spectrum. You are not going to get this with a fluorescent shop light. It just isn't practical to grow veggies in the house, and is a very difficult proposition. Tropical house plants are ok, for they only need filtered light from a nearby window, but veggies need the real deal as far as light goes. You can however, start your cool season vegetables in doors and then transplant outside in the late summer. Hope this answers your question

the interior of a house isn't the main suitable ecosystem to advance maximum flora and herbs as they like an all around gentle exsposuer. the place as living house vegetation are greater of the woodland or jungle form vegetation that can stand a decrease gentle point

Certainly; as long as you have warmth and enough light for them, you can grow most things indoors. I have raised all kinds of things indoors - everything from African violets to herbs to bird-of-paradise plants, and they all did very well. I am a big fan of using inexpensive shop lights to provide enough light; you can put 48-inch aquarium-type fluorescent lights in them, and stuff grows like crazy. Have fun :-)
