Depends where the mildew is.....cloth? tile? caulking? Well, you get the idea. Bleach has been fail-safe for me lest the mildew be on fabrics, and then if the fabrics are not white, you'll get a bleached-out stain.

Some inexpensive vodka in a spray bottle. The alcohol kills the mildew.

For walls, floors and cupboards use 1 cup of bleach in 1 gallon of hot water. It won't come out of sheets, clothing, or other fabrics. You will kill the spores with the bleach solution, but the stains are permanent.

Generally, the prows state a 50/50 bleach / water mix.
