The only way is by getting help from pest control... Trust me, anything you try is useless, cause i had this problem once too what happened is that i sealed that holes which they came through with silicon and they (ants) somehow find a way to my brother's room wall!!! creepy!! Don't divert their route to elsewhere becase this may cause even professional pest control to lost track of them...

If there's ant ants nest near, then I don't think you can stop them coming in, no matter what you do, but there is something that you can do to convince them that they'd like to go straight back out again. Get some essential oil of peppermint, and sprinkle it around your house, on tissues etc. They hate the stuff and will not be able to leave fast enough. Problem solved. Nothing killed, no mess, no expense, no problem. Nature to the rescue once again. Old wisdom. You could always have a peppermint plant as a central feature.

Flying ants through walls, they sound like termites.
Call an exterminator, in the mean time the amonia from windex helps keep them at bay.

Any wall crack can be filled. You could start by directing ant spray into the crack. Try to keep all the kitchen floor and surfaces very clean and free of food crumbs.

They get in through cracks around windows and any other crevice. Use the vacuum cleaner to clear them up then wash round with bleach, that kills them on contact ,then puff ant killing powder in the cracks. When you have got rid of them seal all cracks with flexible sealant. Don't be squeamish about killing them , they are a damn nuisance.

bring the fight to the ants attack their nest with forces, have a fire support element to their 6 o clock on the nest and while all the ants are occupied with the overwelming forces to their rear send in a flanking element to their side. They will never see it coming
