Here's the details..My water softener messed up sending tiny little orange beeds througout the house in all of the waterlines. I was able to clear out all of the junk from the faucets and toilets, but now the showers have lost pressure. I am assuming some of that junk is in the valve in the wall? I can't seem to take that apart. I have a single unit Delta brand in both bathrooms. Is there some kind of cartridge in there I will need to replace? Is that valve soldered into the wall or can I unscrew it somehow?

I just bought a new house and I am in the process of tearing up the old linoleum from the floor. The linoleum is three layers deep! Anyhow, the linoleum is so old that I can easily just use my hands to rip it off the floor! There are hard wood floors under the linoleum; however, there is a thin layer of a tar-like substance between the linoleum and the hard wood floors . What is the best way to remove this strange adhesive? Thanks!

Help! I can start my tiller, but can't keep it running. It is an older tiller, heay duty. I can start my tiller, but it turns off after about 30 seconds. I took apart the carburator and gas tank and rinsed everthing in gas and put it back together. I changed the spark plug and oil. No luck. It starts when i put carb fluid down the carb. then kicks off after about 30 or so seconds. I have no idea what is wrong. Please help. :(

I have just lad turf, and you can obviously see the staggered joins and each individual turf.
Should I water this straight away with a lot of water?
And how long would it take to blend in and look like a whole lawn?

My daughter was painting with her seven little pots of acrylic paints this morning. They are all together in one tray.

She had used her blue and left the cap off. She tried to get another cap off, couldn't, got upset, and banged the tray very hard. The blue paint splattered far and wide. Painting ended. The paint washed up from hard surfaces and her.

Unfortunately, it didn't come up well from a rug. The rug has a bit of that abstract painting look now--with splotches and dots of blue paint. Does anyone have a recommendation how to clean this? Water alone just leaves a sky blue color instead of royal blue.

Thanks.

I bought a new house in Vermont a month ago. My problem is a very steep slope up to my neighbor's property. At the worst part, it is about seven feet high and as close to vertical as it could be - probably at least 75 degrees. Most of the slope is covered with growth - mostly grassy plants. There are a couple of big spots where it is steepest and highest where it has partly washed out, exposing rocky soil. How can I keep it from eroding further? I'd like to avoid the trouble and expense of getting a retaining wall built. My neighbor's driveway is near the top of the slope, and I don't want it damaged, even though I hase been told legally it would not be my problem. What kind of plants would hold the dirt, and would grow easily in steep rocky soil in Vermont?

We are moved in to our semi complete home. Were doing most of the finishing work. The house is still pretty raw inside.

Used to get some septic gasses venting inside. (what a house warming) Decided to cap off all drains and pipes that lead outside and were not yet connected. It worked for a couple weeks.

Now everytime I do laundry or use water in volume the smell has come back but worse. Please imagine a steaming pile of manure, that is what the house smells like. It takes several hours to dispate and lots of incense. It's especially nice when people decide to drop by : (

We put some septic microbe treatment in but I am unsure what to do besides that and stop eating at Taco Bell : )

I am sure there is a mountain of funny that can be made from this, I do SERIOUSLY need help. Thanks.
