Here's the details..My water softener messed up sending tiny little orange beeds througout the house in all of the waterlines. I was able to clear out all of the junk from the faucets and toilets, but now the showers have lost pressure. I am assuming some of that junk is in the valve in the wall? I can't seem to take that apart. I have a single unit Delta brand in both bathrooms. Is there some kind of cartridge in there I will need to replace? Is that valve soldered into the wall or can I unscrew it somehow?

The first check should be the shower head. Remove it and turn on the water. If you get a good flow out of the shower arm, then the head is plugged. If you can't take it apart to clean, then replace it. Delta tub and shower valves have a ball and seats inside. They are very easy to disassemble and repair. The valves could be either soldered or screwed. Either way, to remove it would mean cutting the piping to the valve and the shower head and tub spout. I believe that you can fix the problem without removing the valve.

I agree that there is probably a replaceable cartridge you can install (after turning the water supply off). Have you removed and cleaned the showerheads? By removing the heads and running the water, you may flush the beads out.

There is a cartridge, just go to the hardware store and buy a repalcement cartridge, It will have the directions for removing the old one and by replacing it you will probably have less leaks and more control over the water, the seals are probably close to being worn out anyway.

If it fairly is been diminishing over the years, you in all probability have deposit build-up interior the bathe head. you are able to sparkling it out or get yet another head. If this can be been this way, the the water saving 'orifice' is inflicting the restrict - it fairly is bumped off by utilising taking the bathe head aside. it's going to be a washer with a small hollow in it.

I agree with them. But also check your shower heads. Debris may clogging them. It will be less costly if that is the case.
