I have a window in my shower and would like to hang a curtain. The curtain should be plastic.

If anyone has any ideas on the fabric, please post them. Thanks.

I want to install a hickory hardwood floor in a kitchen with all oak trim, doors and cabinets. The oak is all clear finished (no stain) as will be the hickory. I'm tired of looking at oak, but concerned about how it will look to mix the woods. Also I plan to install a new kitchen island. Any advice on the finish for that cabinet? i.e. oak or hichory, stain or paint?

I just came in from work, put a heavy gage stainless steel, copper bottom pan on with a bit of oil to heat for dinner. My husband called with an emergency and I forgot the pan for about five minutes. By the time I got back to the pan it was scorched black and the oil caught fire as I rounded the corner. I put the fire out with salt since it was an oil fire and it now sits on the back steps waiting for the smoke to disapate.

HOW do I clean this? It is scorched BLACK. I'll admit I haven't gotten it to the sink yet since it is still hot but this is a new pan and I'd hate to think it is ruined. Any cleaning ideas? I've always cooked in cast iron so the stainles steel is a new experience. Advise please!

I met a girl and she said she would go to bed with me but only if I bought her a left handed screwdriver. I have been to many stores and the clerks look at me and laugh. No luck on the internet either. Please help, I really like this girl.

Okay, this whole thing is stupid, but I'm gonna ask anyway. I want all the rooms in my house to be brightly coloured and vibrant, so I was going to paint my living room hot pink, but I've decided to do my kitchen that colour so I can't now. I just can't decide how to do my living room? I want a colour that's bright but won't get annoying when I'm trying to relax (like orange or red) but not something cold (like blue or green). It's yellow now, so I can't choose that colour. I also need a carpet to match, but not cream or anything pale like that, because I have a child. I was thinking maybe a mix of different colours, but I'm no good at knowing that stuff and I'm afraid it'll look like a rainbow exploded in there. Iknow it's a stupid query, but I'd really appreciate some advice :)

Thanks

I have renters who left burn marks from embers from the fireplace on my beautiful oak floor. The burns are into the wood, and not just on the surface. How long would it take for the embers to be on the floor to cause this kind of damage. I would say they were there at least a 30 seconds or longer to do this kind of damage. The renters are saying it happened as soon as the embers landed on the floor. That hard for me to believe.Does anyone have an idea?

And I have about 10 rose bushes like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosa_arkansana , but they are not blooming yet, they will next year. How long will these roses bloom, if i cut off the dead blooms and water/fertilize it regularly. What are some other types of roses that has blooms that last for a long time in summer? Tx in advance.

This is for a birthday present. The person likes candles. I want to get her some kinda scented candles and a cool stand for them...you know, maybe something antique/ancient looking, maybe something postmodern looking...but it had to look stylish. For example:
http://www.heritagearcade.com/states/jandk/gifs/candle-stand-rope-design-zoom.jpg
that...is very cool.

I've been to 2 candle stores in the area but they have nothing but candles themselves...all colors/sizes/scents...but that's ALL they have. Where can i get this type of stand?

I have some old Azalea in my yard that were beautiful when we moved in 6 years ago. Then last summer one by one they started to die off. Usually a branch will die here and there on the shrub. The branch will have very small leaves on it and then it will just die out. I sprinkle Siven (sp) Dust on them once a month for the past 2 years after I had an attack of lacebugs.
I don't have moles or volves in my yard so I am not for sure what is going on. One very large Azalea that I pulled out and threw back in the woods actually had flowers on it after it sat in the woods on top of the soil. So there is still life in them. I scatch the branches with my nail and it's green under the bark just no leaves. Can anyone help me out on this. I have over 75 Azaleas in my gardens and I don't want to loose them. Thank you for any help you all can provide to me on this issue.

The bugs are very small, bright red, jump, bite, seem to be attracted to white or bright colors. The hang around the concrete driveway and seem to be a problem all over the East TN area. They have tiny, hard to see bodies that are thin and long. I would have to say they look like little red jumping lice.
