and running, even though in the summer there is temps in the 90's and in the winter 20's?
It would not be covered.

yes...in fact we had ours out in the open..it gets up to 99 in th summer and down to -45 in the winter....if you want it to last longer than five years like ours then build something around it with a shed roof to keep it out of the weather...but ours did FINE!!!!

I do not think so because you also have to remember, although the freezer is keeping cold air inside, it is also insulating what is inside from the outside air. I think it would be fine to leave a deep freezer in the garage during a cold winter.

I would only do this if the freezer was in constant shade under a permanent cover; like a porch. Otherwise you are gonna have one HUGE electric bill. There is also the chance of water getting into the motor and causing it to short circuit if you run it outdoors and uncovered.

But only on the front porch. It use to be quit popular in some parts of the country.

Ours is out in the carport, two sides exposed to the elements. Nothing has happened to it so far.
