A repair can be done but it is VERY difficult for even the most experienced tech. The line must have nitrogen flowing through it during the process to keep scale and oxidation from forming inside.
It's much better to replace the tubing if you can.
Is this an automotive AC unit?? I've seen Nissan trucks rub holes in the suction line. This part has nuts on both ends and can easily be replaced.

Braze, yes. Solder, NO.
If you are talking about a power line, it is against the code in most part of the country, if not all. If you are talking about the refregerant line, solder usually can't withstand the pressure. Brazing or compression fitting is usually necessary.

little bit confuse i thought the lines were made of copper pipes and copper fittings in that case you can use the burns-amatic and the acid core solder.

No the aluminum will corrode form the refrigerant use copper.

No. You must use a Direct Current (D.C.) Machine with aluminium electrodes, otherwise you'll never be able to start an arc.
