I want to put the condenser for my central air conditioning unit underneath my deck. What is the minimum amount of clearance that I need from the top of the unit to the bottom of the deck?

Hi,
I replaced my motor coupler a few weeks ago and since then I've washed about 5 loads of clothing. Well yesterday, the washer stop agitating and spinning again. It doesn't make that awful loud buzzing noise like it did the first time when the motor coupler broke, so I'm wondering now if it's something else that broke. I can hear the motor running, I just haven't taken it apart yet to see if it's the coupler again. Any other causes for the washer not agitating or spinning? I HOPE it's the motor coupler again cuz that's a cheap fix, but since it's not making that buzzing humming noise like the first time it broke, I"m afraid it might be something else :(

The tank that holds the water from the dehumidifier is cracked. The whole drain plug is cracked. I checked on getting a new plastic tank but they want $42, which I think is absurd for a cheap plastic tank., Any suggestions? I tried gorrila glue but it was not strong enough. It seemed to hold the water back but when I fiddled with it the whole thing cracked again.

I have no idea how it happened, one day I opened a cake mix and I found nasty webbed mess and 2 tiny moths. That was 1 year ago and now they have taken over my kitchen. =(

I read that, if you see moths flying around your kitchen, you already have a massive infestation. I got rif of everything boxed and bagged, put clear plastic toes for new boxed foods. I thought that would do it,.........uh,.......WRONG!

I have gotten to the point that I have a large ice chest I use to put a few boxed things in. That really sucks. They are still flying around the kitchen. I never have the things I need, since I only buy what will fit in the ice chest. I have thrown away several hundred dollars worth of food in the last year. We are very low income,...it's killing us finacially.

The hose is very old with lots of nooks and cranys.Do I torch the kichen? LOL Just joking!

What can I do to get rid of them for good? I need my kitchen back!

cement is slanting towards the back of my steps and I want to raise it enough to either level it out or slant it away from the house because rainwater is leaking into the basement.
Too hard for me to break up the old stuff, as I*m not physically able to do that.

I am new at gardening, this is only my second year. Last year a flood destroyed the whole yard in mid july, in the begining of this season I was fighting with the groundhogs and bunnies and now the bugs! They are eating all of my chinese cabbage and lettuce. What can I do? I don't want to use chemicals on my food but does anything else actually work? I have a good garden book that has some homemade recipes but these didn't seem to have much effect. Any sugestions would be very appreciated! Thanks

Basically, the A/C unit where I live is not working. When it decides to turn on, it will turn on for about 15 seconds, then cut off, then turn on, off, on...for about two minutes. Then it won't work for awhile. Then when it gets too hot inside, it will repeat the above. My question is...do you think this is a thermostat problem (loose wiring connection) or do you think this is a problem with the actual unit or compressor (freezing over)?

The previous owner of my house had a tractor and left very large tire ruts in the soil (clay). I'm trying to break the clay down to plant some vegetables but I can't break the clay down. I've rented a Honda tiller, but I think the tines are not working well and wont really dig into the ground. Is there any way to reclaim this soil? It seems that there is a difference between cultivators and tillers...maybe I have the wrong one?

Please offer any advice...right now the only thing growing is the blisters on my hands from working with this tiller.

I have taken some pictures of flowers - some places include Pennsylvania, Georgia, and New York - I need to find the scientific names of the flowers. Are there any Web Sites where I can go to either look at pictures and try to match them up or fill out some type of questionaire about what type of flower it is? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Everytime i use my washerdryer in one complete cycle, i have lots of fluff left over in the drum, and have to clean this out each time, sometimes the fluff, gets in the holes of the drum and is hard to access or remove, leaving it to stain any light clothed washes.

Does anyone else have this problem its a hotpoint.
Can i solve it anyway?

Is that right? Can that happen, or am I just being taken?

My house is just under 4 years old, and on Sunday the air wasn't cooling, except at night. It hovered around 83 degrees, then it got hotter during the day.

The repair guy put some more freon in there for "temporary cooling", but I wonder if it just needed freon to begin with and that's why it froze up. He said that the freon will leak out again, and it will get hot again in the next few days or whatever. He said it won't hold a charge until the coil is replaced.

I don't know much about AC's--it is a 3 ton unit.

Should I spend $1500 to have the coil replaced, or should I pay another $65 to have someone else see if the coil truly is bad?

Your opinion is appreciated! :)
