how do you prime a water well????...please help

well how do you prime the pump???

Priming consists of filling the pipe with water. If this well was working properly before, it is probably a bad foot-valve. This valve is a check valve that stops the water from above the pump from draining out. May be a case of no water in the aquafer and the well will need to be drilled deeper.

Prime the pump by filling the pump and well pipe with water.

Never heard of priming a well but i have heard of priming the pump to git water from a well. Its a very simple procedure....george
