I have no idea how it happened, one day I opened a cake mix and I found nasty webbed mess and 2 tiny moths. That was 1 year ago and now they have taken over my kitchen. =(

I read that, if you see moths flying around your kitchen, you already have a massive infestation. I got rif of everything boxed and bagged, put clear plastic toes for new boxed foods. I thought that would do it,.........uh,.......WRONG!

I have gotten to the point that I have a large ice chest I use to put a few boxed things in. That really sucks. They are still flying around the kitchen. I never have the things I need, since I only buy what will fit in the ice chest. I have thrown away several hundred dollars worth of food in the last year. We are very low income,...it's killing us finacially.

The hose is very old with lots of nooks and cranys.Do I torch the kichen? LOL Just joking!

What can I do to get rid of them for good? I need my kitchen back!

Bengal brand bug sprays will get rid of most infestations. It is more expensive than others but it works well. The moths are living in something. If you find out where they are coming from you can put an end to them.

If you have any boxed food you may have to get rid of it... If you have home owner's/renter's insurance it should cover anything you have to throw away, call and find out... Putting your food in the freezer is good, however-if the moths got in it they would just remain dormant..... When you buy new boxed food put it in resealable plastic tubs and try that.. I had that problem I let some flour sit in the paperbag and had 100's of little grey moth's. I vacuumed them up and went through my cupboards and wiped them down.. .I also put some moth ball/cedar in my cupboard available at Walmart...

I cleaned out my pantry several times and painted it then I saw the moths were coming from the rice. Keep everything in plastic, airtight containers or the freezer.

Bug bomb your house.....and you might even want to have a pest control person come out and see what can be done.
