i have a king size canopy bed (dark wood frame), with lighting and mirrors at the "ceiling" part of the canopy, its a beautiful bed but i've had that bed for over 12 years. it now has war marks, needs one or two very minor repairs, possibly repainted/polished, and it has to be assembled by furniture people otherwise it can be a disaster if not assembled properly.

I have alot of years and memories in that bed, its beautiful when its put together but with all the work it'll take to get it fresh & "new" again, i could get a brand new bedroom set. i dont want to sell it. a part of me wants a brand new bedroom set but i'm so attached to this bed, its also "one of a kind" you dont find beds like this much anymore.

do any of you have a hard time letting go of stuff you've had for so many years? how do you get rid of that feeling?

I make leather necklaces, and finish them with cord tips, but I am trying to find the knot & loop design that I have seen on some leather and silk cord necklaces. Any help or web site suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

A neighbor of mine recently said that he runs linseed oil into his airless paint sprayer to keep it from getting clogged while it's not being used. Does anyone have any info on whether this is a good idea? Could it potentially hurt the sprayer?

I can peel the paint off and it feels sticky. You could roll it up into a ball and it can stick.

I have a fancy S.T. Dupont pen that takes roller ball refills. I use it to take notes in meetings (I am an executive and probably take 3-4 pages of notes per day). I have gone through 3 refills since January 1st. That seems a lot more rapid than any pen refill I've ever used. And the refills are expensive, and hard to keep in supply. Has anyone had similar experience - - The vendor is The Ink Flow from San Antonio, TX.

I currently have a formica countertop. I am going to be installing 12x12 granite tiles over the existing formica. Can I do this, or do I have to rip out the counter top and replace the wood before I can tile? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Preferably any home remedies besides the chemical stuff you can buy? The water drains down extremely slowly.

Hello all. I recently bought an indoor rose plant. I have heard they don't need much to any sunlight and are easy to care for. I repotted in a pot three times as large as the original. What else do I need to do? Thanks.

My gas was turned off -- it is now back on but the hot water heater is not working. The gas works on my stove and on my dryer. Is there a reset switch or could it just be the pilot light?

Thanks!

i washed my red satin sheets with the directions given. cold water, mild detergent. but when i took them out of the dryer, i noticed there were stains on them. they look like stains caused from the washer. maybe it's the remainder of the soap? i used XTRA. i don't know what i should do. take them to a dry cleaners? or using Shout or some stain removal product to get it out? my friend thinks it looks like soap. I don't know. Cause the stains are same color as if some water got on it.

Hi, I am looking to buy cherry tomato seedlings in Singapore, anybody know where can I find it?

Also, if it's not available, do you know if I can grow them using an actual cherry tomato by planting it into the soil?

Small town sewage people told us that any problems with drainage were not their problem if the lines were clear up to our connection. We have installed new line up to our connection with city. Toilet still backs up, occasionally but, always backs up when it rains.Snaked line up to main and found no blockage.Ran water hose down 2" vent pipe on roof & its clear. Any suggestions? Please dont waste your time to tell me to call a plumber. Believe me, if we had the $ to pay a plumber, my husband would not know that s**t really does run down hill.

I have some seriously crappy neighbors in every sense of the word, and their kids are driving my poor dogs up the wall. We have a very nice 42" chain link fenced in backyard, but that is no deterent for the little angels next door that easily climb it and drop trash in our yard for the dogs to "Fetch".

I looked into privacy fencing and that will cost over $500 (ouch!) not including labor (even if I help put it in).

I'm on a fixed income so looking for other options. I came up with the idea of buying a role of kennel wire to attatch to the fence & grow honeysuckle (as much as I don't want this intrusive plant near my rose of sharon bushes).

Sooooo, I need to know....I hear honeysuckle grows fast..can anyone tell me how fast it grows per season or per month? And can you grow it from "starts" or do you need to use seeds?

I would appricate any ideas....thanks!

Short of constantly ripping the stuff out, does anyone have a good (organic) sollution to this plant? There seems to be morning glory that grows in between my yard and the neighbours' yards. We all pull the stuff, but it just keeps coming back. If I miss one weekend of gardening, the stuff starts to strangle my azalias and blueberry bushes!
