Hello all. I recently bought an indoor rose plant. I have heard they don't need much to any sunlight and are easy to care for. I repotted in a pot three times as large as the original. What else do I need to do? Thanks.

Okay, you've 'overpotted' the rose ... the 'new pot' should be only 'one size' larger than the last pot, and the rose needs to be in that for about three months before you re-pot it again. But, since it is now in the 'way too big' pot you may be able to 'leave it' if it is 'still growing well' in its new pot. Be sure that the pot is in a 'good light' (not 'direct sunlight' though) and check its 'dirt' to be sure it's 'moist' ... and you may need to 'overwater' it because it's pot is WAY TOO BIG for it for now. Other than that, you should just 'let it be and grow' until it blooms ... be sure to 'cut off' each bloom when it is 'blown' (fully open) to the 'second leaf' on the stem if possible ... otherwise, cut it at least one inch from the 'base' of the 'rose hip' ... which should keep it blooming 'year around' ...

Rose plants only need to be watered about 1 to 2 times a week. Depending on the temp. If it's hotter like in the 80's to 100 range 3 to 4 times will work.

I would really put the rose plant outside. The rose is a flower that reblooms every year , it will need plenty of room to root and to last longer then and get plenty of sun. Put it in fresh soil. I would not recommend keeping it indoors a long time. They just are ones that do better outside. Either way, be careful handling this with the thorns.

Roses want full sun. good luck keeping it alive inside.

Feed it regularly, water, be sure the pot has a drain hole, don't let it sit in water. Um, give it a name. Yes I name some of my plants. and enjoy!
