My room is really small and I want to make it feel more open. I have 2 windows right next to each other.they let a good amount of light in but I really want to make it feel more open. It's my little sister's room and currently has pink walls. I love green and torqiuose colors. What can I do?

I would like to replace the knobs & drawer pulls in my kitchen. I don't really want to pay alot, because we would like to sell this house next year. I just want to make the kitchen a bit nicer. Any ideas where to go to find inexpensive knobs & pulls?
Thanks

I see them on the sidewalk. They are the size of a tip of a pen. Someone told me they are baby spiders? I really don't think so...

The problem is, I do not know how to do it without killing off the part I am trying to divide. Soaking the part in water, waiting for it to root doesn't work. Planting it directly into dirt, kind of seems to work, but the plant is droopy. I think it too is going to die. Any green thumbs out there with an answer? Thanks!

I have a small patch of strawberries in the garden, but even before they get ripe, ants eat out big holes in them. Is there any way to prevent that? I'm hesitant to use poisons around fruit that I'm going to eat.

My dog did a nasty #2 on our rug, of which i managed to step in bare footed. I was considering power washing it after soapy water and rubbing didnt quite get the scent out. Before doing so, I was wondering if anyone had a better suggestion. Please help my nasty rug.

PS....Dogs and zip sauce dont mix.

1st floor unit: The vents are blowing non-cold air, but the outside compressor is not working. The fan is not turning. I checked the breaker box switch --- its on. I checked the outside A/C breaker box. That is on too. The unit is around 9 years old. What could be wrong? The unit is a Carrier. The 2nd floor unit works fine(they are both separate units).

I need to make an exterior door (with doorframe) to my house's cellar. I have some basic tools (e.g. a sliding mitre saw) but no router. The cellar always stays above freezing point in winter, but the outside temperature can drop to 30 below. I'm worried about warping, and also about how I'm going to fit a lock. I'm thinking of strap hinges and perhaps a rim lock or similar - basically I need a simple design I can knock up in a few hours/days. Does anyone have DIY instructions?
