The same thing just hasppened to me. My leak unfortunately was coming from the pipes in the wall. I had to have them replaced. Sealing the floor tile will not help. You need to get someone in there to fix the leak in your pipes. I t could be just a washer that needs replacing, but it is not an inexpensive fix..sorry. Then you will have to fix the ceiling below when you are sure the leak is gone. GOOD LUCK my friend!

The water leak may be under the bath on the bath trap. Remove the bath panel and run the shower to check. If that is okay, run the shower around the bath and look underneath to see if the water is getting past the bath sealant.

First of all if possible cut off electric to the downstairs bathroom.Knock a hole or two in the ceiling and let dry for a couple days not so much the ceiling but the joist holding up the ceiling, now you will have to replace the drywall or whatever material that's on the ceiling. After that you should be fine .

Hi
yes you can.
now is the leak coming from the shower or the tub
if from shower. simply applied new grout to the tile
used a standard screwdriver and make indention in grout or get the tool form from your local hd store.
they have a tool from removing grout
is from tub applied silicone around the drain and smooth it and fill the gap between the tub and the drain
let cure for at least 5 hours before using it
good luck

Re Grout and use silicon sealer around the bath - BUT make sure that is the problem - you may have a leaking pipe - not a leak around the bath

You need to find the source of the water first. Since you will need to repair the ceiling anyways (to prevent mold) you can look for it while the ceiling is out.

use cilicon to cover up the leak as a temporary measure, on the long term however i'm afraid you will have to call out a repair man.
