When my tree started growing back leaves this year it also sprouted giant green spotted bulbs. They are very soft and the size of a golf ball. Any idea what type of tree this is?

My intercom works fine, I hear when people buzz me and I can talk to them. But when I go to "buzz them up" the buzz sounds really weak and sporradic like there's a loose connection or something.
I will report it to my real estate agent but I was wondering how big the job is and how likely the owner would be to fix it. Would it involve finding the wires that run from my top floor apartment down to the foyer door? It seems like a huge job to me but I really want it working again.

i live in an apartment and i have the pool out on my very large deck.. i have read the lease and the is no rule against it and my landlord is pretty cool about stuff..... i am not going to fill it all the way up.. i just want enough water where my 8 month old daughter ( with my supervision) can splash around. maybe about 6 inches deep of water..... i will not leave her unattended. but want something she can play in because she loves the water.. my question is how do i keep the water fresh other then covering it to keep bugs out and the water warm..... i dont want the water to get slimey where i have to keep filling it and wiping it down... is there a small amount of chlorine or some thing i can put it in?? and not to have mosquitoes breed in it?

I am considering hiring a professional cleaner to my apartment. It is a relatively small, 2 bedroom unit, but there is quite a bit of work that needs to be done. Before I figure out if this is really what I want, I just need a couple of questions answered.

How much do they charge on average?
Will I be expected to leave my apartment while they are cleaning? Do I just stay there and watch?

If someone could help me out, I would be more than grateful.
Thanks in advance.

I have a self-cleaning oven at home, but there are no instructions (we recently bought the house complete with appliances but the previous owners did not leave manuals). Do I just turn the knob to "auto self clean" or is there more to this process?

I have a 12' round above ground. I used a full package of winterizing shock on it when I closed it down last October. I've had the pool running for 2 weeks now and the high chlorine has yet to dissapate. I've had the cover off and the pump running for the past 24 hours. Still, the test is coming back WAY off the chart (Closer to orange than yellow). The Ph is perfect. I've heard of using bicarbonate of soda to neutralize chlorine. Does anyone know how much to use and how to apply it?

The front of my lawn use to be an old road bed about 50 years ago but then they moved the road and just planted grass. However when it rains all the water goes into the middle of the lawn and all the soil is mostly sand so alot of my lawn is weeds or crab grass and its getting worse, no matter what I do nothing helps. I was thinking about putting a few inches of gravel down on my lawn and then a layer of soil and replanting. What do you all think?

I've just got some stuff from Wickes and on my receipt is a discount which is for "time of day discount". I have never heard of this and it isn't listed on their website. Does anyone else know anything about this and if so, what times of day or days is this discount applicable.

We bought a house and the master suite faces the patio. I want to put a sliding door in it, since our very old dog sleeps in this room and forever needs to go out in the middle of the night. He has to walk down a hallway, past the dining room, through the kitchen and the family room to go out the only door to the back yard. He falls a lot!

And if I did not want it exactly where the window is would this be more?

Thanks!

I don't know a thing about mowers or how they work or what needs to be done to them every year but for some reason it won't start. It started initially the other day but then died on me. It has gas in it but the oil is low. I pull the string and it makes a noise like it might start but the engine just never catches or something. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

The new surface would then be painted over with a Matte Enamel Acryllic Latex Paint. The reason I would like to apply joint compound is that the original wall has a poor texture finish under the semi gloss paint job.
