I've received a bartlett pear tree as a gift. My backyard does not have enough space to accomodate a 20' tree with that kind of width. I am pretty sure it is not a dwarf variety. I know VERY little about this stuff. Is there a way to keep it small and still bearing fruit or is it worth asking my brother in law to exchange it for a dwarf variety?

I am remodeling a house and installing a bathroom fan, I am told i need to add a switch external to the bathroom so the fan can be turned on from this location but not turned off once it is turned on in the bathroom. This is the case in the house i live in as well which is 10 years old. I am just wondering how the heck to wire that up.

I am looking a 4 1/2 acres for sale but am a little concerned about the softness of the land. The seller just built his house on a parcel right next to it and looks like the same kind of ground as this. He bought three parcels all together to build on one amd sell the other two. I just want all of my ducks in a row Thanks.

They are completely taking over, and Mom wants to use Roundup. I have heard that that doesn't really work with them anyway, but besides - herbicides! YUCK! Any other suggestions? How do I get rid of these things...before they get rid of my yard?

So, for any of you out there who have attempted to paint your walls with Behr sandwash paint you will understand my pain. What did you do to salvage your walls? I'm afraid to paint over the sandwash because of all the uneven, splotchy areas and don't want to put more time and effort into sanding the walls and completely starting over (although that may be what I have to do).

Please give me some advice!!!

I live in a duplex with a small "flower bed" next to my front stpes. It's aprox 4 1/2 ft long and 2-3 feet deep. I want to plant some prety flowers there to make it more welcoming and pretty. Plus I love flowers and gardening. This is our first home and my first time doing anything like this, and I was wondering if anyone had some tips. I really have no idea what kind of flowers look good together or if there was anything fun and creative you've done before. i really love colorful and exotic looking. I live in northern Illinois and the flowers will be in direct sunlight all day long. And I don't havce a hose so if possible, know of any plants that do well with less water, seing as how id have to bring it outside is a water can or somthing. Any suggestions are more than appreciated, also if you know the best place to purchase the flower (home depo vs lowes or walmart) Thank you so much all for you help in advance!

It was suggested to us that a drain/pipe associated with the condenser pump on our furnace could have caused it. There was no sign of water on the walls. Is it possible for a clogged drain to cause 5 to 6 inches of water?

My father in law came over today to add a new circuit/breaker in my box and when we removed the front panel to the breaker box we notice water between each of the breakers/switches and a drop or two on the bottom of the breaker box. There is no leaks of any kind above or anywhere around the box and the first coulple breakers were dry, so I'm 99.9% there is no "leak" anywhere. All the wires were dry and show no evidence of being wet (no drip marks, no stains, etc..) The basement is NOT heated and it has been raining the past new days, so it is a tad humid.
Can this really be condensation? how unsafe is it? Is there anything that can be done to discourage condensation from forming in the box?

I have had for over a year now a heartbeat radiating from my head.Sometimes its better sometimes its worse..Sometimes I barely here it at all.I have been to two doctors regular and and vascular specialist and also asked numerous medical people about this.. all say its a natural thing nothing dangerous Ill just have to live with it and some swear im imagining it.. I don't buy the imagination because who wants to be able to hear their heartbeat night and day .If i was going to imagine something it would be something wonderful. My question is ok..I have had my exams ,I was told no test needed.. I have been looked over by a 30 year veteran nurse almost every other day ..says I don't have any symptoms of heart disease of artery disease or nothing.Ok..Ruled that all out.. However the last few days I have heard my pulse thundering in the back of my head. When I lay on a pillow with my neck propped forward and move it it makes a popping noise like something loose..Could there be a connection ?

I've always heard clear yet sometimes solid sounds, even around 2 am, like dragging chairs or moving desks on the floor. Imagine nails scratching on the glasses, that disturbing. I suppose they come directly from the roof, the 9th floor or another unit across the hall (Otherwise how can they be clear?). I told our security service about this, but they couldn't explain why. "Can anyone in any related field share professional experiences on my concern?"

Im serious. I went to a friend's and I forgot to go before leaving. I peed in my pants on the way home. Im wondering if I need to wash it right now or if it can dry and be washed later. Im worried if the wet dries in, ill have a stain and in PE, when im changing, kids will say "Hey look! Jason has a piss stain!" Will my underpants stain if I let the pee dry then wash it tommorow? If you need sepcifics, they are boxerbriefs, made 95% coton, 5% spandex and are gray.
