Lay down the rules. When you say something then mean it. Reward good behaviour, punish the bad. If there is both father and mother, for goodness sake, be on the same side.!Support one another, theres too much of Mum says no and Dad says yes, etc.,Just be fair and consistent.

Children with ADDHD normally need medications to aid with behavior. There are also other problems that go hand in hand with the affliction. Anger management classes are sometimes needed because they get so upset with themselves, they take it out on others. Then there is the fact of just being a kid. You have to seperate what is ADDHD and what is plain bad behavior. Check the side effects of any medication your child takes. Some are worse than the original problem.

lay down the rules, cut the sugars, when you punish them, stick with it. Cut out the television as well...think about it, they only have to pay attention to a program for what about 5 min tops??? Then its off to commercial time, and they are up and running for about 10 min, and then its back on again. That makes for non concentration training.

Omega 3 fish oil about 1000mg a day is supposed to help children with ADHD, won't hurt.

avoid artifical dyes in food and drinks like koolaid and dont forget no sugar. go out of your way not to bring them into your house. kids will eat everything when you are not looking.
