mains powered spotlight, (outdoors)....came with 120w bulb, can I put a different bulb in with a lower wattage?....Ta

I don't see why not... it's only higher wattage that you may have a problem with.

Yes you can, but I'm just a little concerned that if you are asking this question with a view to installing an outside light, you need to be aware that such work is notifiable. That means it has to comply with Building Regulations, and unfortunately you will need to inform your Council accordingly before you install it.

I'm pretty sure he isn't going to mention the quantitive easing. He'll say its due to spending cuts to blame the Tea Party. People who don't understand anything at all about economics won't know the difference. Krugman will come up with some b/s to help out.

Sounds like a par 38 lamp you can get them in 80 watts & yes that will be OK

yes you are allowed to put a lower wattage in, just don`t up it.
