I wish all house's had aluminum siding cause it's the best and easiest surface to paint and holds up very well. Power wash the house with a product called "Jomax" made by Zinseer and read the label for applying and mixing, buy a gal for less than $20 and will do the whole house, when power washing always spray directly into the surface NOT up and under the siding you don't want moisture behind the aluminum. Sherwin Williams Super paint will work and any 100% acrylic and NO PRIMER is required for either paint you use. I've got aluminum I've painted 20 yrs ago that still looks good. And I'd stay away from TSP (trisodium phosphate) the phosphates are not good for the environment, plants and plus if not rinsed well you'll get bad adhesion and burnt plants, good luck Les the painter, Wow just seen your colors, that's a NO NO, you don't want to go that dark it will really absorb the heat which in return could buckle your siding!!!!!

the previous answer is good...

-Use the Jomax
-Do not go with a darker shade then whats on there!!! It will mess up your siding, This is for vinyl and alum. But I would never use Sherwin Williams paint. Their interior commercial grade paint is great but their interior and exterior paint is horrible. Instead go to Lowe's and get Valspar or Home Depot get Behr. Good Luck!

Wash the siding first. Use tri-sodium phosphate, TSP. You can buy it at a hardware store. Don't use a power washer. Use a big brush, to knock off all of the oxidized paint. Rinse thoroughly. Sherwin Williams sells super paint. They claim it will stick to any properly prepared surface.

i feel that you should not paint the siding because one the paint will chip off no matter what the weather is like and it will not look that great afterwards! also i agree with what others say when they said you should just give it a good wash i agree siding does have the habit of getting dirty like that. I power jet you can hook right up to the hose and it does a good job..

I have heard you can do it. Go to Sherwin Williams and have them recommend the paint you should use. I would only paint if you HATE the color. You will have upkeep although I don't know how much.

you probably just need to wash the siding down real good. Unless you want to change the color for some reason.
