Basically I'm in the process of building a desk and I need to get those plastic decorative hole things that allow computer cabling to pass through the desk, neatly. The problem is I don't know what they are really called to ask for them, or even know what store to start looking for them at. I asked people at Home Depot and Lowe's and like kinda looked at me like I'm crazy.

Spilt cooking oil and mopped it up using towels but that seemed to embed it into the carpet. In some areas I used my wet vac to suck the oil up as much as we could and then cleaned the carpet. But carpet still looks dirty and it seem like the dirt is sticking to where the oil was spilt. I can see the stains on the carpet. Now sure what to use or how to clean the carpet to get the oil out and the carpet cleaned properly. should I be looking at getting a professional cleaner in or is there something out in the market that I can use. I have a carpet cleaner a magic queen that converts from a vacuum to a wet vac where I can use water from the tap an wash my carpet and then suck the dirty water up. What should I do?

I am knocking a wall down to make my bathroom bigger and I need to move the plumbing for the sink about 1 1/2 feet back. Is this something a do-it-yourselfer could handle or should I call a pro. I have never done any plumbing work but I am a quick learner. I just want some advice from someone who has done plumbing before. Any book recommendations??

The flowers of my sunrise cactus have been progressively shriveling up and dying. I'm not watering it daily, I know it doesn't need alot of it. It is in my window but the sun has not been beaming on it at all. It was recently transported from one city to another and it looked horrible for a while but got better and now this is happening. Just wanted to know if there was something I could do to keep it from dying.

We have a gym. It has concrete walls and tiled floors. When it is humid or raining outside the floor becomes slick. We've bought a small dehumidifier and it helps, but not enough. We don't know whether to turn the heat up or down, if fans would help, or if putting padding on the walls. Any ideas?

We recently have had a lot of rust in our well water that does not filter out.
I have heard that iron is not good for people over 50, and have concerns about heavy metals in general.
Should I be concerned?
Suggestions for filtration that will clean up the water?

We're trying to figure out why. The sump pump works, the injector pump seems to be fine(however not sure howv to test). There is no standing water, just a soaked carpet The only thing that we could think of, is the heavy rain that we just got. But we've had heavy rain before with no flooding. Any idea's, anyone?

I never had this problem with my old top-loader (it had a lint trap). With this washer, though, from day 1 my clothes have come out with these lint/hair balls firmly stuck to them. (Sometimes they look like little laundry spiders. Alas, they don't come off in the dryer.) I'm interested in hearing about what other people have tried--I've heard about velcro balls that are tossed into the wash but have yet to read any comments from someone who has actually tried them.

Alright I am running a drain 1 1/2" for the washer maching, water softener drain, and a utlity tub! The run is aprx. 30 ft, with 8" of fall. I have an in line trap before the sink. Down the line it goes, softener drain tube then 2' down the line, washer drain tube, then 3' down the line , then utility sink with no trap, then 3' down the line, is the in line trap!
When the softener drains it comes up through the sink, and evenually up the washer drain tube!
No clogs in the line at all! When the washer machine empties in comes up through the sink too! Why is this, what is wrong?
