Im doing this science project and I need some help. I need to know if a plant will grow best in sunlight or artificial light? and Why? I also need to know what things about plants and what type of research do I need in order to start the project.

I live in an apartment with a hallway that isn't heated. I can see light all around the door leading into the hallway and cold air POURS into my apartment. I put a towel at the bottom but that doesnt help with the rest of the damn door. What the hell can i do to fix this? I dont think my apartment complex is nice enough to take care of this, and if they do it will be 2 months later when they get to it. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today replaced thermocouple, and same problem occurs. No thermostat attached. Hear a pop after a few minutes, and all flame is out.......pilot also.

My basement flooded again (due to problem with sump pump...but now that is fixed). The carpet is all wet once again. It took days to dry out last time with help from my Kirby. Should I get rid of the carpet? Should a basement even have carpet? Is there probably mildew under the carpet? If so, what kind of tile should I lay after I remove the carpet? Help! My basement is drowning (but it is going down as we speak...due to the sump pump).

I have two pot holders that have magnets built in so you can hang them on the fridge or any other appliance. They are filthy but I don't know if it is safe to put magnets into my washer and dryer. Do you know if this is safe? If not why?

the care instructions say to add humidity by placing the pot in a dish with pebbles and water but dont let the plant sit in the water cause the roots will rot. so should i only leave the pot in the dish for a little while and then take it out?

This tree blooms leaves not very well now, it was planted around 5 or 6 years ago. I beleive it is a Cornelian Cherry. It gets partial sun in a temperant climate.

The mold is at the base in the bedrooms and bathroom. We have had no furnace this winter and have heated with a wood stove only. There has been quite a bit of moisture that has been present throughout the course of the winter also
