I heat with wood, and where I keep it is downhill from my den door. The path is covered in sawdust (4-6 in deep) from cutting, splitting, etc. I use a wheelbarrow to go to the door, and am having trouble. At first I left the tire a little soft to float better, but it's been getting squirrely. I now pumped up the tire to max, and it's like a rock. But when I get to the deep chips, it stops cold . Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

A while back when I was in Brazil I noticed that shop assistants when wrapping a parcel they used a nifty trick to cut twine without using any cutting tools, just their bare hands. It looked like a knot they tied on the one hand and with the other with a swift tug they snapped the twine miraculously. Could someone please show a how-to ? Thank you.

I have a beautiful 1/2 oz 999 silver coin that is set to wear as a necklace. However, I am noticing that it is becoming tarnished and am not sure how to clean/polish it so that it is always as brilliant as the day when I bought it.

Our kid's bathroom has white hexagon flooor tiles, and wall tiles 2/3 the way up which are white with little tiny brown speckles making it look a little cream colored. What sort of sink and countertop would you put in, what sort of style would you suggest? Thanks.

Can someone explain these new energy smart light bulbs that are supposed to use less electricity.
specifically a 15 watt is suposed to equal a 60 watt?
Does that mean I can use a 26 watt bulb that say equals 100 watts in a lamp that says 60 watt max?

I recently got a ficus bonsai and i'm wondering how i can get more leaves to grow. I really dont know too much about pruning, other than you cut things off. But there's gotta be a way to trim her so that leaf formation is encouraged, right?

When my father was in China in 1944, he bought and brought back a "coin". On the coin were pictures not fit for children to see so he soldered over them. I know this coin is at least 67 years old and I would like to restore it and possibly sell it to a collector. Any ideas how? Your help, as always, is much appreciated

Hi there-I have read over some of the Q&A already posted for white noise while sleeping & I need some recommendations.
I have always slept w/ a fan since I was a kid and cant do without it.I've tried radio but anything like the TV that produces light in the room or radio that has anything but a constant unbreaking sound annoys me and wakes me.I currently use a VERY loud fan to sleep w/ but to get the sound as loud as I need it I have to run it on high.I have 2 dogs who are NOT happy with that situation during the winter months who sleep in my room.It has been below 0 F here in temps this week so a fan is just too cold.Even turning it the other way-the air still circulates back into the room and is freezing my doggies. My question is: I have seen some white noise machines online but never tried them in person as I am really rural and have no stores that sell these things close. I need recommendations on some that provide really LOUD noise similar to a fan. Thanks!
