i've heard you're supposed to use regular soap & water, but it doesn't seem to work that well.

the sticky paper rollers are wasteful (having to buy/throw-away all that adhesive paper!) that's why i got the rubber roller. i have used the sticky paper in the past, and it is SUPERIOR to the rubber roller, but thse are just not environmentally sound.

It has to be hot soapy water. It won't work in water that is cool.

Sticky Lint Roller

I use the lint rollers that have the sticky paper. I think it works a lot better than the rubber roller ones. When the stickies gone I just peel off that layer and throw it in trash. I had one of the rubber roller ones but never could get it cleaned off and I have a white cat so I have to have something to get cat hair off of things.

I clean my dog with a lint roller, I'm just very gentle. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. In fact, one company makes one for pets, it's the same thing so I think you're safe. As long as you don't do it rough and pull the hair out by the root there's no possibility of damage to your cat. You're just removing the loose hair.

you dont. they're made of sticky paper that you peel off and throw away for the next time you use it. it's like a roll of tape so you cant clean it. just discard the used portion and roll out another fresh piece to use later. also, getting it wet may ruin the sticky part by drying it up so keep it away from any liquids.

I'm not sure about those..but I LOVE the kind with the sticky paper on them, that you just peel off a sheet everytime you use it! They work GREAT and no mess to clean it:)
Good Luck!
