Or would you prefer to buy a painting already prepared, from a shop or art dealer?
If you would commission a painting, how much would you expect to outlay?
Have you commissioned a painting before?

Just doing some market research. Thanks for your input.

I have silver lamps but my furniture is antique light wood with gold colored handles. What shades/sheets/or whatever else would you recommend for decor? Colors, styles?

This is a two part question.
My home has a Bryant Quietline furnace, you can tell its very old. It runs quite a long time to heat my 750sq foot home and I don't keep the heat very high, it just works hard to do a very little.
For savings and saftey reasons I would like to replace it soon.
First questions, what size btu unit would I be looking at for about 750sq feet? The home is very well insulated in the attic, but has windows that are getting close to needed replaced. I would think that 45,000 3 ton or 70,000 4 ton would be good since the home is fairly small. What would you recommend?
I just glanced at http://www.acdirect.com/goodman_ruud_gas_furnaces_.php for prices and those units run about $800 on that site, is about what I should expect?

2. I've questioned the duct work since I moved in. Heres why. The house is built on a concrete slab. The duct work appears to consist of areas left open within the concrete slab to allow air flow. Hard to describe,

Every shirt I have ever bought seems to shrink. No matter how expensive or how cheap. I try washing it in the temperature it says. Then I do not dry them. It doesn't seem to matter. It is so bad I go through my closet and most of my shirts show my stomach. I have even tried buying shirts that are too big.

I have a Craftsman 1/2 hp Garage Door Opener. When I press the remote the door just click, Click 5 times and doesn't move. When I use the button on the wall it works, but when the door reach the buttom it goes back up agian (I have to hold the button to wait for the door goes all the way down, otherwise the door just stop as soon as I release the button). If I keep pressing the wall button after the door reach the bottom, the door just gives a click click sound without any movement. I have to wait few minutes before the button works again. I installed this garage door opener only 2 years ago. I tried to disenage the garage door just to check if the chain move, but didn't. Any idea. Thanks.

i just made a humidity chamber for a small salvia plant (trying to make it grow as big and fast as possible) and it is a wooden frame with a bunch of seran wrap all over it and I sprayed water into it then sealed it completely. is it bad that it is cut off from CO2 and if so how do I get it everything it needs without de-humidifying the box. also any tips on how to make humidity chambers humid would be appreciated. (besides just having a bowl of water in there...)

I have a garage with perfectly good vinyl siding, except the color is really ugly. I asked the guy at the paint store if it was possible to paint vinyl, and he just looked at me like I was an idiot and said something like "Why would you do that?"

My question... can you paint vinyl siding? Do you need to prime it first? Do you have to use a special paint?

Room thermostat light indicator turned on, but nothing else seems to run but just maybe the boiler? We went up to the attic and heard boiler was running. Should we expect the pump to kick in before we can see hot air circulating? Odd thing, we noticed our downstairs centralheater run a bit warmer than usual when we set the thermalstat downstair to be 65 degree.

I just bought a house that had tatouage in every single room. Since I was in a hurry, I primered and put a layer of paint in a room already. Of course, the tatouage can be seen through. Everyone told me that's how you get rid of it, and now I know it was a horrible idea. Is there any way to take it off althought it's already been painted over? I don't mind repainting, but is it possible to even get it off anymore?

The area below and behind one of my outlets is almost always warm - could this be a wiring problem? The outlet only occasionally has something plugged in and turned on. I'm assuming wiring because of the proximity to the outlet.

I'm worried about potential fire hazard. Am I overly concerned? Is tearing the wall open the only way to figure where this warmth is coming from?

I know spring is a little ways away but I have landscaping on my mind.

Any shrubs or flowers that you would recommend that you think look good? Its kind of bare around here. And I want to spruce it up.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated
