I dont ever dry any of my good clothing, this also keeps any major shrinking from happening. As for the lint balls you can use an electronic lint clipper. Hope this helps.

You most commonly get lint balls when the clothes are made of acrylic. Many cheaper clothes are made from acrylic or acrylic blends. Stick to cotton, cotton/polyester blends and other natural fibers and blends with natural fibers. 100% Polyester can also get lint balls but they are less visible because they tend to be smaller. Avoid acrylic like the plague because after one or two washings they look worn out. It's very depressing.

ALWAYS separate the laundry according to colour. Jeans with jeans, whites with whites, colors with colors. Towels are their own load and will leave those pesky lint balls on other fabrics. If you don't have enough for a full load, leave it until you do. Reds are best done on their own also. Sweaters should never go with towels ever!!! Get a drying rack to drape them on as they get lint balls from rubbing against other fabrics in the dryer.
