It all depends on what you're looking for in a window. How much stock do you put into each of the following? Quality, energy efficiency, appearance, low maintenance, easy to clean, warranty, customer service, self-installation,product history, and company reputation? These are all factors to consider when investing in your home. Do your homework, research on the web, call local companies and home improvement stores, compare. Once you determine what you're looking for, narrow down your search based on your research. Good Luck!!

We spent about $1,000 per window, but those were the fanciest windows you could find, and the dealer installed them (all in one day!) I believe that you can find good-quality vinyl windows for a couple hundred dollars each, and there shouldn't be too much trouble to install. It does make a difference in the house: all of a sudden it's quiet in here.
