lay it on a piece of foil with water + baking soda, then fold the fil over it and leave overnight. in the morning, gently wipe the coin with the solution left in the foil, and the tarnish should be gone.

I have a TIffany bracelet and my wedding set that I clean with an old toothbrush & dishwashing liquid.
To get the tarnish off jewelry, buy some Tarnex. I had to use it on my bracelet, and the Tarnex cleaned it beautifully!

Buy a jewelry cleaning cloth - that is the very best thing to use for good silver...do not use silver polish as it wears away the surface after time.

Get a cloth and place the coin with some baking soda. No need to wet or apply anything else. Just rub the coin w/ the cloth and the baking soda. I had done to some of my silver belongings and they shone like new.

A native American silver smith recommended I use 409 to clean my silver jewelry. I tried it, and it worked fine. Just soak the jewelry in the 409, rinse with clear water and dry with a soft cloth.
