Can someone explain these new energy smart light bulbs that are supposed to use less electricity.
specifically a 15 watt is suposed to equal a 60 watt?
Does that mean I can use a 26 watt bulb that say equals 100 watts in a lamp that says 60 watt max?

You are correct. The new tecnology allows for the same amount of light with 1/4 the amount of electricity. Which means that less electricity means less current which means less heat. So you are correct!!
