We just pulled up the carpets and found hard wood flooring underneath. Has anyone ever redone hard woods on their own or would it be easier and less time consuming to hire a professional. This area of the house is about 800 square feet.
Thanks Alot!

I have a set of salt and pepper shakers with those words on the bottom and I am curious as to what it means? Does any out there know? I am not sure what the word 'occupied' means in relation to this. Most things that I have just say Made in Japan or Made in China or Made in USA, none but this use that word occupied. Thanks!!

I have tried pins, but find myself being pricked at night. They tend to come undone.

I believe these are sparrows nests. This has been an ongoing problem, but I had hoped the birds would fly south for the winter to allow me to remove them before spring. But the mild winter through the beginning of January has prompted the birds to remain. Will I be attacked if I try to remove the nest? If I remove the nest, will they simply rebuild it? Can I place something behind the shutter (such as cat hair) that will keep the birds from rebuilding? This has become a problem, with my 2 year old waking up extremely early almost every morning due to the birds chirping at the crack of dawn.

My furnace seems to be heating only half of the upstairs. The left side of the house is warm but the right is not. What could the problem be?I've checked to see that the vents are open. Serious answers please. Thanks.

The machine is about 6 years old, an Indesit. There was a loud bang and as the spinning continued I could see the side of the machine bulging as the drum banged against it. Very scary! The drum is now lower than normal and to one side. Can it be fixed or should I just buy a new one? Thanks!

We had a house fire, I came back and found the firebrigade coming out the front door.

We lost pretty much everything apart from pictures and clothes. We have moved back into our home and been back in it for 2 years but I still pick te wrong drawer for the cutlery and stil doesn't feel like home. Anyone been there and done that?
