constantly flashing once. code says to check furance. could it be filter change. kinda forgot to change it lately

The code should be written on the door panel. furnaces have different codes. You could have a locked out furnace because of a clogged filter which would open a limit switch. Chan.
ge the filter and turn the power switch off for a minute.Turn it back on and see if it fires.

I was in a house where they were doing some work and a sensor got clogged with dust and was flashing a code. Look in the owners manual for the codes also. A filter is the cheapest thing to replace. And you're never wrong to replace a filter. Make sure the door is on correct also, that can cause problems.
