The other night, my heat pump (the outside unit) started to work intermittently. The blower fan in the furnace works fine, and so do the heat strips.

When the outside unit works, it works great. But it will run for two cycles, and then it won't turn on a third time. The furnace fan turns on every time. If I turn the thermostat off for a couple of hours and turn it back on, the outside unit works again. But after a couple of cycles, it quits again.

My Rheen furnace ignitor glows red, the gas is lit & is blown into the heating duct by the fan for about 3 seconds. Then the ignitor stops glowing red & the gas stops flowing. The furnace goes through this cycle 3 times, then stops altogether. WHY?

I recently acquired a plain yellow bedspread, but as a big fan of blues, I don't have many pillows that seem to match well with my new comforter. Any suggestions as to which colors I should keep my eye out for when shopping?

I hope to replace my floors soon. Which is easier to maintain and keep clean - ceramic tile or hardwood (or laminate wood)? A follow up to this question is which would you put in the foyer vs/kitchen and casual dining areas?

This is a bathroom and the cold water is good but there is no hot water. When I turn on the shower in this room, it increases the pressure of the water coming out of the tap, but it is cold, not hot.. The shower only has cold as well. This home was built in 92 and my other rooms have hot and cold. Should I call the plumber now?

I'm in the middle of a bathroom re-do. My last piece of sheetrock is going to be behind a vanity. If the vanity were to completely hide the wall, then I wouldn't worry too much about this, but it's one of those fancy self standing things that women love so much (thanks Honey!)

Anyway, I want the sheetrock to lock attractive when I'm done. Somehow, I have to cut a 2" hole for the drain and .75" holes for the hot and cold lines. The hot and cold lines have handles on them which would require me to make a much larger hole than is needed to surround the pipes.

Is there a way to fill those wholes with mud or something to make em' look nice and clean?

Thanks y'all.

I was making tea on the stove but I accidentally turned the wrong burner on (I have an electric stove) and that burner had a metal pot on it and a plastic container touching the side. I smelled something burning so I went hunting for the problem when I realized my mistake. Now WHAT DO I DO?! I tried to take the pot off the burner but a mini fire almost started!! Then I tried adding water in to the pot from the teapot but it started sizzling so I freaked out and stoped. Now it is boiling a tablespoon worth of water. I can't reach my mom and I am so lost! WHAT SHOULD I DO!?
