I just went to a class talking about houses having lead paint (prior to 1978) I am thinking my apt building was built before that time. Do apartment owners have to check for lead levels?

I have a squarish room. One of my walls has a large window, another has a very small window, the third is bare and the last has three doors. What should I do? I want something different and fun with bold colors, as I am a teen. I wanted to paint my room black, but this is not okay with my parents unless I find some way to lighten it up. I am okay with crazy colors as well as elegant designs. I love elephants, chocolate, reading, and music. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Hi,
I've moved into my first house and would like to know a bit more about my central heating system...

There is a gas boiler (about 3'by1'by1' or thereabouts - on the inside there is a peizo ignitor button, gas control valve and a thermostat temperature control which is a radial dial with a min and max setting on it) the boiler is controlled by a 24hr digital timer for central heating and hot water (independantly) switching the boiler on/off.

Upstairs in the back bedroom is a hot water tank. On the outside near the bottom is a control dial with temperature settings.

There is no thermostat control in the house. Or not that I can see.

I have worked out how to control the boiler with the timer to switch on the hot water and central heating but how do I control the temperature of the water coming out of the taps? And why doesn't my home have a room thermostat? Can a thermostat control be fitted to my system to keep the house at a set temperature?

I don't just want to throw the thing away after it's too small for the holder. I thought about crushing it and mixing it with water and putting it into a spray bottle to use as a cleaning solution... just wondering if anyone has come up with a better idea??

using argon/ CO2 mix but I am not sure what its purpose is. I know if I don't have it, the welds look bad, but I don't understand why it helps.

I have an Ideal Mexico Super 2 floor standing gas boiler and my pump seems to be working fine. The radiators have been curved to fit the bay windows but have been damaged in any way in the curving process. They heat up at the top and sides only but the middle portion of both radiators is cool, never gets hot. All other radiators in the house are old double radiators that get piping hot, it's only these 2 that won't heat up. What seems to be the problem here and what are my options to solve this problem?
